Rope Making & Knot Tying in Edale

In December I’m offering a new workshop for the first time in Edale.

We are going to make a Ocean Plait rope mat. This design can also serve the purposes of becoming a coasters, table mat (rope trivet) and doormat (in a larger size). Please see a photos attached below of the ocean plait pattern.

About the workshop:

you will receive full instructions & support to make your own mat or two during this workshop.

you will leave with a finished mat of your own and most importantly, you will leave with the skills to be able to make them again as a gift for your loved ones, or to decorate your own home.

The workshop is one full day (6 hours) delivered in two sessions over a Sunday.

The workshop in the morning will be from 10am -1pm (with a tea/coffee break at 11.30am) followed by a lunch break. Then the workshop continue with an afternoon session from 2-5pm (with a tea/coffee break at 3.30pm).

All tools and materials are provided during the workshops and you can take home with you what you make. If you came to any of my previous workshops, I hope you are assured that we will have plenty of new techniques and ideas for your hands to explore as well as practicing your existing rope making and knot tying skills.

All abilities are welcome, both more experienced crafters and those who are complete beginners at making things by hand. I am confident to meet you right where you are, help you get started and tailor the workshop to suit your skill level.
