24 Oct - Kringle Rope Mat Workshop

24 Oct - Kringle Rope Mat Workshop
Rope Making & Knot Tying in Edale
In October I’m offering this new workshop for the second time in Edale.
We are going to make a ‘Kringle’ circular rope mat. There will be only 1 size available that could serve the purposes of becoming a coasters, table mat (rope trivet) and doormat. Please see a photo attached below of the traditional Kringle mat design.
Kringle is a traditional Danish circular rope design.
max. 9 participants
you will receive full instructions & support to make your own mat or two during this workshop.
you will leave with a finished mat of your own and most importantly, you will leave with the skills to be able to make them again as a gift for your loved ones, or to decorate your own home.
The workshop is one full day (6 hours) delivered in two sessions over a Saturday.
The workshop in the morning will be from 10am -1pm (with a tea/coffee break at 11.30am) followed by a lunch break. Then the workshop continue with an afternoon session from 2-5pm (with a tea/coffee break at 3.30pm).
All tools and materials are provided during the workshops and you can take home with you what you make. If you came to previous workshops, I hope you are assured that we will have plenty of new techniques and ideas for your hands to explore as well as practicing your existing rope making and knot tying skills.
All abilities are welcome, both more experienced crafters and those who are complete beginners at making things by hand. I am confident to meet you right where you are, help you get started and tailor the workshop to suit your skill level.
I look forward to teaching this workshop for the first time in Edale.
